First check to see that your fridge is running at the correct temperature. It should be between 2 and 4 degrees to ensure your food lasts longer. We advise to remove ham completely from the packaging and wash suface lightly in cool water then dry completely with a paper towel. Then wrap the ham in a tea towel and then place in a pillow case or calico bag. The tea towel and pillow case should be soaked in a mix of half vinegar and half water and hung out to dry before placing it around the ham. This creates an acid environment which protects the ham from spoilage. Repeat every few days with a fresh tea towel and pillow slip. Greaseproof paper can also be used instead of the tea towel. You must not keep the ham in its plastic pcacking once opened. Enjoy your ham and a Happy Christmas.
